League tables updated at spotoncuesports.co.uk. Prem: This week welcomes late newcomer to the division in Tamas Vaguolgyi, It’s a bit tricky to fit him into the standard fixtures so he will be around every week and pull in whatever games he can. Lee Pickard has a substantial lead as the most consistent player and shows no sign of letting up, only four points separate the chasing pack of six so a good scrap looming for second spot. Division 1: Mike Vernon goes back to the top after pinching a 5-3 win over Danny Gadd and Luke ‘Brutal’ Wharton having a week off. Duncan Hooton continues to impress holding third spot with an impressive win over the dangerous Scott Oxford. I dropped some needed points against Freddy but hold on to 6th spot. Jim I’Anson and Joe Crespo are sitting well in fourth and fifth, both with a game in hand over top spot Mike. Many players struggling with form. But there is still enough time for a good surge to put the middle order into a challenging position. Division 2: We have a new leader!! Rumour has it that previously unbeaten table topper Malc, looked down and either got a nose bleed or vertigo, or was it simply the great form of the resurgent Ross McGuiness that took Malc by surprise and inflicted a fairly heavy defeat, to compound the damage, Simmo had a sound win to take the top spot and leave Malc with a whole week to lick his wounds. Mick Garratt showing well and Gary Wheat still showing really good form, David Fox had a week off but is in a useful 6th spot but now needs wins to challenge. The middle order just look like they are trying to find consistency, and it is that quality that wins leagues, consistency of ball striking, not flamboyance. I also see the players who are trying to improve their game and commend their effort and progress.
