Leah Fisher of Falmouth has joined a class action lawsuit against Bayer, the makers of the birth control pill Yaz. Her 18 year old daughter Katelynne died in 2011 after a stroke caused by a blood clot after taking the prescribed pills. Health Canada medical professionals have said Yaz and Yasmin are suspected in the deaths of at least 23 Canadian women. Bayer has paid out more than one billion dollars for thousands of lawsuits in the U.S.
