Lean principle should be part of AAPs core principles. In simle terms lean means eliminating expenses that does not add value to the final product.. AAP gets donation through white money. Both number of donors and amount contributed are less. We should try to increase number of donors and not amount per donor. We should make sure that we think through on result, alternatives available and need for a given expense. If organising a meeting costs Rs25000, we should ensure that this is the most cost effective alternative. Can we achieve same result with Rs5000 or Rs10000? If yes, we can use remaining for another protest. Isnt it? People who donate now might get exhausted if they continue to donate beyond their manageable limit. Once that happens, there will be a vaccum created which will be filled by money minded people. They will invest heavily and eventually will expect returns which is not good for party. Some might come forward to sponsor an entire protest but will expect it to be executed by his terms. I assume we are trying to follow other political parties whenever we conduct meetings. I dont have a suggestion now but I am sure there are cheaper options with similar outcome. If we change our thought process we can find innovative ideas at low cost and better reach. I am not against any expense made so far, but wanted to trigger a debate on lean AAP party.
