Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month/Bring a Friend is a snow sports industry initiative dedicated to getting newcomers involved in skiing or snowboarding. A new promotion is launching today. Every day, for 30 days, consumers will have a chance to win a $10 gift card from Liftopia simply for posting a photo on their favorite social media site that depicts daily photo prompts that can be found through #winteriscool. Images must be tagged with @learn2skiboard and the hashtag #winteriscool to be eligible. Photos may or may not involve skiing or snowboarding but they do need to depict winter. Sample themes for daily topics include Silly and Fun, Sunsets, Makes You Smile and Out of the Ordinary. Winners will be from the most popular photos for daily prizes from Liftopia. The contest runs through December 14, 2013 and overlaps with the start of the second annual Bring a Friend Challenge. The Challenge rewards skiers and snowboarders who help newcomers sign up for beginner lessons from professional instructors.
