Learning MULTIMEDIA; Prerequisite(s): all demonstrations are performed in Final Cut Pro X and Motion, so students need either access to the 53 Church Street lab or their own copies of Final Cut Pro X and Motion. Students do not need any previous familiarity with these products. Each student also needs access to a video camera, either one of their own or the cameras available at the 53 Church Street lab. Proof of English proficiency is required of students whose native language is not English. EXPO E-48 Multimedia Communication: Introduction to Digital Storytelling (24259) Spring term 2015 Marlon Kuzmick, MA. Creative Director of HarvardX Media and Associate Director of the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, Harvard University. Class times: Online-only lectures with optional weekly sections via live web conference beginning on Jan. 28. On campus Friday, Feb. 20, 7-8:30 pm; Saturday, Feb. 21, 9 am-5 pm; and Sunday, Feb. 22, 9 am-1 pm. Final projects due via online presentations on May 7. The following registration deadline differs from the full academic calendar: the withdrawal date is April 24. Course tuition: undergraduate credit $1,250, graduate credit $2,200 Note: This course is taught in a hybrid model, with an intensive—and mandatory—three-day residency, online lectures, and optional weekly section meetings via live web conferences using Blackboard Collaborate.
