Learning arabic has been a challenge, yet rewarding in itself. Even if I still struggle to read the alphabet, when I watch al Jazeera and even understand random words and become able to connect what they are saying through visual imagery of what is happening on the screen and through the linking of the few words I understand. I have to say, despite what the media may say about Arabs, I have to admit, their language is beautiful to listen to (Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian dialects), and they are the most hospitable, especially when they invite you to their houses and they force you to eat all their food. All I gotta do is learn arabic, farsi, bosnian, and urdu, and inshaAllah ill travel throughout the world and become the next "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego!"
