Leave it to Marvel Studios to make 70s-80s songs cool again: Guardians of the Galaxy was not just a film with incredibly attractive visuals, but it was indeed packed with nostalgia. :) Although at the beginning the dialogue seemed incoherent, went a bit too fast, and was a little difficult to follow, it ran smoothly towards the middle and the end. The story was completely brimming with action and humor that worked so well, as well as included some elements that weve seen in the other Marvel films so far. :) The cast, as usual though, fit into their roles like gloves. Chris Pratt very effectively pulled off the humor and naughtiness of Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana once again channeled her Neytiri self with Gamora, which always seems to suit her somehow; and surprisingly for a major film role, Dave Bautista was definitely perfect as Drax, very moody and angry at the world at first, but eventually becoming a deeply loyal comrade. And of course, the creative team made the right decision of squeezing in some typical wrestling moves in the fight scenes for Batista. :)) Bradley Coopers voice acting as Rocket Raccoon also proved very well-done, and Vin Diesel seemed to have gotten the easiest voice acting role yet as Groot--though of course, he was also well-suited for the role. :P Overall, Guardians of the Galaxy gives us what weve always expected from Marvel Studios: colorful, fun and exciting films with references that nerds like us are going to love. :) And, as always, its recommended to stay until after the credits. :)
