Leaving Atlanta, finally, Dr. Weissman diagnosed Katelyn with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. She gave me a bunch of resources to read. We will only have to go once a year for check ups. Till then Dr. Weissman wants us to doing "constraint therapy" where you splint the good arm and it will force Katelyn to use her left arm ( the weak arm ) she also encouraged us to get Katelyn involved in swimming ASAP, musical instruments, gymnastics... Anything where Kate will have to use both arms. The doctor also being in the room maybe 1 minute before she said she could tell Katelyn had PVL just by the way she walked. So impressed with this doctor. Now we just need to continue therapy, kick some booty and impress Dr. Weissman next year!
