Leaving my cousins this morning, I decided to take hwy 370 and go to hwy 50 and get some more pics of this old barn near Springfield (I know one day, this old beaut will be razed) and that makes me sad. Its a fave landmark of mine. Theres No Trespassing sign on the gate, so I cant go walking around the place like I would love to do. Ive always wanted to get some photos of it from another angle besides the road, where I have taken so many. This morning I thought to meself, todays the day. I parked on the clearing off the hwy and another road out of the way of all traffic and did a little walking. My hands got pretty cold but it was worth it. I do want to get some shots in the evening with the sun setting, which Ive never done. I dont know what it is about this barn, but I just love it! Ive taken many of this particular barn over the years and never tire of it. I need to get a four season grouping and frame it some day. Im glad there was no snow as my slip on Hush Puppies loafers would never have made it and Id have not even gotten out of the car. Perfect morning, despite my freezing hands. smile emoticon I tried out a few settings for different effects. Will play with some other editing ones in Picasa. Next time Ill get out there before the sun rises and get some more pinkish toned ones...and take a thermos of coffee! ;) How fun it was just to get these shots this morning! I have 14 new photos of this grand old beautiful barn. Here are 3 of em.
