Leaving shortly to do a couple hours volunteer work for BBBS - they have done so much for my youngest son through the years and so when asked I like to give back! I will be selling 50/50 tickets at the gate to the park at Queen Street & McGill Street (across from the post office). Please come and see me and support this wonderful agency! Im just hoping the Lions Club doesnt ask me to pay to get in - will not be impressed as Im not impressed with the service clubs that are running this event or the people that are charging $20 for parking downtown (today one lowered theirs back down to $10 - duh is that why you didnt get a lot of vehicles yesterday) This weekend has a lot of greedy overtones to it and lots of people in Cobourg are not impressed on all levels. Why pay admission to buy goods you can get at your local fleamarket. This event brings over 50,000 people to the park every year - I wonder what their numbers will look like when its all said and done and please dont lay blame on Canada Day being on Tuesday. At least Canada Day is free to go to the park! Also great to see Stacy Robison for a wee bit last night - safe travels back to Calgary my friend! I will send the pictures we spoke of last night when I get a chance. Also best part of the weekend - having Connor home for the weekend!
