Lecture of Adv Ab Haq Khan: Being an MLA of opposition ruling National conference turned down my most of the projects but due to my efforts and and hard work i managed to get few works done in my constituency but yet there are thousand miles to go and i am sure in coming days when there will b our government i have to do whats left over Says PDP MLA Lolab Abdul Haq Khan .When I became the MLA in 2008 no road in Lolab was macadamized. “My priority was macadamization of roads.” Major roads which were macadamized in the last over five years are Kupwara-Chandigam, Lalpora-Anderbugh, Wawoora- Kainad-Warnav, Kalaroos-Machil, Kupwara-Humadar-Shathpor-Gunpora and Haihama road. New roads which were built are Gunipora-Kunard, Affan-Kainard, Thayen-Sundhi, Hajamohala, Devar-Loharpati, two inner roads in Lalpora, Lalpora town roads. Road in Sogam, Khori-Putshai, Gujarpati-Putshai, Khumriya-Kashta were black topped. National conference run Government stalled the sanctioning of money for construction of Lolab bypass road. other big projects like Lolab-Bandipora road and Lolab-Bandipora tunnel was also blocked by NC Government. “TheGovernment did not issue NOC for the construction of the road and tunnel as it passes though forest land,” . Due to my efforts five bridges were built in Khumriyal, Kanpora, Thayanmori, Lashtiyal and for Batnad no money was sanctioned by the government. Five more bridges were about to be constructed at different places. “I am contended that 80 per cent of the Main roads have been completed and more is to be done,” . in 2008 About 90 percent population in Lolab was lacking drinking water.today 70 per cent of them have access to drinking water because of many ground water and other schemes.and I admit 30 per cent of the people still don’t have drinking water facilities. Health sector in Lolab is discriminated as few doctors and health workers are manning the health center..five health sub centers are without staff. . no new doctor was posted in my constituency after recent recruitment of doctors in health.this is wat national conference govt did for our people: Eight middle schools were upgraded at Dorus, Krosan, Shrath, Gogal, Putshai, Machil, Payerpora. No new higher secondary has been built in the area,A number of new schools under SSA scheme were built but yes i Admit they were constructed in a haphazard way. To improve electricity my biggest achievement was providing electricity to Machil, Kalaraoos and Khurhama and other areas under RGGVY scheme. “In addition, 160 transformers were given to number of villages and one receiving station was built at Lassipora”, .. The tourism sector got a major boost in my tenure as tourism authority was created for Lolab-Bangus valleys. Many guest houses and huts were built Chandigam Anderbough, Kalaroos, Haihama and other locations to boost tourism. On irrigationI has spent 70-80 crore rupees on building tanks and canals; important canals like Dahgam,Cheepora, Kripai and Khumriyal canals were built. Government did not issue NOC for construction of three dams at Dorus, Chandigam and Ringward-Lalpora as these are falling in forest area. Besides All I say wat idid for Inter District recruitment bill that is know to every body and now our educated class knows and have admired the achievement regarding Inter district recruitment policy
