Lee Bell, from the National Toxics Network, said all the former - TopicsExpress

Lee Bell, from the National Toxics Network, said all the former tip sites were likely to be leaching into the groundwater and the rivers. The known sites include Deeley Street in Maylands; Slade Street in Bayswater; Rivervale in the City of Perth; Swan View Terrace in South Perth; Canning Highway in Attadale; Stoneham Street in Belmont; Wendouree Road in Wilson; Queen Street in Maylands; Third Avenue in West Midland; Kent St in Cannington; Trinity College in East Perth; McCabe Street in Mosman Park; and Burswood in Victoria Park. Mr Bell said action could be taken to halt or reduce the amount of chemicals leaching into the river from old landfill and other toxic sites but the remediation was expensive. au.news.yahoo/thewest/a/-/breaking/6502754/old-dumps-blamed-for-killing-swan-dolphins/
