Lee hiked eight miles yesterday and then the bottom fell out with heavy rain, thunder and lightning. He called to say that he made it to a shelter that already had eight people. This morning he called and said that a woman with four children showed up, so he pitched his tent outside. One of the men who stayed in the shelter told him it was a good decision. There were rats and mice in the shelter and the children shrieked and screamed all night. Meanwhile, Lee was nice and dry in his tent despite continued heavy rain. He will try to pin his location on his cell so that if anyone can hike with him aways can find him.
