Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has told the Yorkshire Post that the club have signed Italian pair Marco Silvestri and Tommaso Bianchi on permanent contracts. Silvestri, 23, is a goalkeeper who joins from Cheivo on a four-year-deal, while midfielder Bianchi, 25, arrives from Sassuolo on a three-year-deal, with the option of a 12-month extension. The former Cagliari owner has also announced that the club are in talks with fellow Sassuolo player Jonathan Rossini, and is confident the Swiss international defender will make the switch to Elland Road. The moves come just hours after the Whites lost top scorer Ross McCormack to recently-relegated Fulham for a fee in the region of £11m. But Cellino has moved to reassure supporters that the Whites will cope without last seasons top scorer, and promised to deliver even more new signings. Tommaso Bianchi has arrived from SassuloTommaso Bianchi has arrived from Sassulo Were losing 15 goals a season, not 30. It wasnt planned that he would go but we will sign players, that was certain anyway, said the Italian, adding: The players were going to buy, we were buying anyway. So we need another forward. Silvestri began his career at Modena in 2010, moving to Chievo a year later where he has enjoyed loan spells at Reggiana, Padova and Cellinos former side, Cagliari. He has been capped by the Azzurri at under-21 level. Bianchi meanwhile, is another former Italian Under-21 international who helped guide Sassuolo to Serie B promotion in 2012-13, before spending last season on loan at Modena. Prospective signing Rossini, 25, had been on the books of Sampdoria while co-owned by Udinese. He joined Sassuolo ahead of their debut Serie A campaign but spent part of last season on loan at Parma.
