Left the state 1:30 am Saturday. Elyssa and I are off to University of Tennessee Martin Campus. Supposed to be a 14 hr drive. Needless to say it was a nightmare for the first 6+ hrs. Tail end of the snow storm turned rain. Through the mountains of Pa and Maryland dense fog, 45-55 mph for several hundred miles. A real nail biter. Light rain thereafter but better speeds. No traffic, no troopers, nothing. Arrived here finally at 6:30 pm on Sunday night 17 hrs driving. I even let Elyssa drive my truck for a total of three hrs. Surprisingly, she is a good driver. For the record, this area is beautiful, rural and a lot of camouflage going on. Elyssa and I stick out like hunters in red.
