Leg 4 and the penultimate day of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge coverage by Eurosport! The morning started with a mass start for the motorcycles, and disaster for Sam Sunderland who was forced to retire his KTM with mechanical problems. Joan Barreda took advantage by winning the stage and moving up to 3rd overall behind compatriate Marc Coma in 1st and Helder Rodrigues in 2nd. Qatari Mohammed Abu Issa was fastest quad on the day, but still trailed overall leader Rafal Sonik, who holds a very comfortable advantage. Aidyn Rakhimbayev of Kazakhstan was a surprise winner of the car stage, but Vladmir Vasilyev holds an overall lead of almost 40 minutes going into the final day.
