Lehigh Valley, we need our own Urban Contemporary Radio Station. - TopicsExpress

Lehigh Valley, we need our own Urban Contemporary Radio Station. For this areas demographic, it would dominate. A station that would play old school/ new school Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, and Dance. Lately, a lot of clubs in the area have been booking Urban artists, but do we have an outlet on the airwaves to promote them the right way? There is a lot of talent locally that has done work or mixes for other stations in Philly, why not here? Our area is growing, and with venues popping up, why spend advertisement dollars on a Philly station? Were not in Philly. We are the Valley and promoters/club owners, wouldnt you like to spend your ad budget on a station that blasts locally on the airwaves with the music you provide at your establishments? There was some serious convo happening a couple of months ago, but it fell thru since some couldnt see the vision of having a Urban Station. We have 2 Top 40/AC, 2 Rock, 1 Country, 1 Oldies, 1 Classical, 1 Latino, but no Urban. Just a thought….
