Leinster Hurling Final Preview Kilkenny v Dublin, 4pm,Sunday, Croke Park, LIVE ON RTE Kilkenny GAA and Dublin GAA meet in the Leinster Hurling Final on Sunday in what has all the makings of a great game. Kilkenny needed two overcome Galway, this will stand them. They were dominant against Galway on Saturday winning the key battles in defence and midfield. Paul Murphy, Jackie Tyrrell and Cillian Buckley played very well at times. While in the middle of the park Padraig Walsh and brother Tommy pulled the strings. In attack the ever reliable TJ Reid hit 2-11, 0-10 which was from placed balls. The thing on Sunday is if Dublin give away frees they will be punished by Reid. Kilkenny will probably be without Colin Fennelly for the final as it hampered him against Galway. Dublin on the otherhand played Wexford just over two weeks ago in Wexford Park and came out on top by 0-22 to 1-14. Conal Keaney was the main man for the Dubs that day hitting 0-05 from play. Alan McCrabbe and Paul Ryan were also a torment for the Model defence. In defence the Dubs have Peter Kelly at full back who had a torrid time against Wexford full forward Conor McDonald on the high ball. Liam Rushe will be at centre back and is going well in training and back to full fitness. Michael Carton will be given the task of marking TJ Reid. A physical game is on the cards on Sunday, and no stone will be left unturned. The feeling here is Kilkenny have had two tough games against Galway, but with the team aging will Jackie Tyrrell and JJ Delaney be able to deal with the wide open spaces of Croke Park. Thats remains to be seen. If they can cope with how to manage this and cope with Conal Keaney in the air they will have a good chance. Kilkenny to come out on top by the slimmest of margins. Verdict: Kilkenny
