Lemme just make this clear really quick ; October 10, 2014 marks two years since I published my first book, Hood Love. Back then, a 1, 2, or maybe even 3 star review would make me feel some kinda way ; after a while , being in this industry; you MUST develop tough skin or you will be eaten alive! Nobody will give it to you raw & uncut like the readers will ; & thats why I no longer take offense to reviews because they are honest OPINIONS (most of the time anyway) ; everyone is entitled to their own OPINION; so today I received two 2-star reviews ; one stated that they were confused & felt as though they read the same book twice & that part 2 just had a diff ending ; I screen shot & posted it in my group & asked my readers if anybody felt the same way (I deserve to know , right? So I dont make the same mistake) they all gave their OPINION and stated none of them felt that way; cool ; (idk what happened , the review was all of a sudden removed off of amazon) , the second one was somebody who said they felt the book was a waste & it was slow & boring , & it wasnt until 98% that they got the answer they were looking for & that they were getting a refund; I screen shot & posted it in my group , apologizing for making the reader feel such way & offered to gift them a book of equal value for taking the time out to read my work (I have no idea who it was) ; moral of this whole thing is , I wont sit on social media & bash readers for their opinions & reviews; I CANT BECAUSE I ASK THEM FOR THEM! It has been 24 hours since those preorders dropped & 22.5 hours since the link became live to EVERYONE! During that time , Ive received 28 five star reviews && currently sitting at #166 in the kindle WORLD! I appreciate all good AND bad reviews because it helps me grow as a writer! I thank each and every person who has one-clicked my newest release today! It means the absolute MOST to me! For those who have it & havent read it, I PRAY you enjoy part 2 as you have part 1! & if you dont have either; head on over to amazon & snatch up both copies for $4!
