Leonbergers Velmu and Viski sharing their test report on Hurtta Collars :) Velmu and Viski have been testing the Half Choke Collar and Padded Collar for about two months now. The largest size of the Half Choke Collar is just too small for a dog as big as a Leonberger. The smaller of the dogs can wear it just and just, for the bigger it didnt even fit to the neck. This is something to which I would wish for some changes, since Half Choke collars have been very handy for our supersized dogs. Otherwise I am really happy with the collars. The padded collar is appropriate in size and has even room for growth. The collars have endured wearing well. The collars for large dogs are usually very heavy, but these collars are light and still sturdy. I like this! In addition the collars are soft and they dried off quickly after swimming. I like also the fact, that the reflecting band is sown into the collar like a thread. In the previous models the reflecting sheet would crack very easily. Our dogs have broken couple of Hurtta collars by pulling when they have spotted our neighbours cat. With these collars we have not yet had the chance to test this, since for some reason the cat is avoiding our dogs. All in all good collars, I recommend!
