Leopard cannot change its spots. As the proverbial saying stands till date BJP is finally revealing its true colours. Modi may have won on development agenda & remains interestingly silent on certain disturbing events occurring in many parts of the country when he never ceases lecturing moral science in his public meetings. Perhaps past experiments with Hindu Rashtra has made them wiser by not frequently voicing/ revealing their dubious agenda but the veil is lifting emphatically. Their political vote catching mantra seems to be sing the song the people want to hear & do exactly what they ventured long ago at the time of becoming the political wing of RSS. Now unabashedly they pursue - Changes in the textbooks plus curriculum. Indianising history which to a certain extent is appreciable but not distort action of facts pls. Spreading Communal riots by which they gain in polls while much bloodshed happens. Frequent hate speeches go unchecked by the PM. Spreading insecurity amongst the minorities displaying tyranny of the majority. Shockingly a MP of BJP arrogantly proclaimed that the Opposition must sit silently & hear them out for next five years. Aha! but the latest mass conversions taking place in UP is unpardonable. It makes me ashamed as an Hindu to accept such actions. Many a times the PM has been heard quoting Vivekananda but he seems to have forgotten the most important teaching of the great Swami. He spoke of being a citizen of the world. Where has this broad enlightened perception shrunk to. Not only does it indicate fundalistic / fascist side of the party but they STAND EXPOSED. Is this the kind of DEVELOPMENT we Indians want? Constitutional proprieties too are flung from the window. This is tyranny of the worse kind. Exploitation of weaker sect. Of course the corporates would be rewarded suitably in coming days. Already certain election investments made by Adani Group has been already awarded. The vulnerable youth ( ASPIRATIONAL class) would also get a flip in upscale lifestyle. Sadly by that time irreparable damage would be done to the social communal harmony. A vital ingredient for peace & prosperity of a Democratic Nation. Renu Goenka.
