Les Paul and his wife Mary Ford pioneered Audio Multitracking way back in the 50s long before anyone else even got to know about the techniques of todays recording specialties. Les Paul of course as most people know, Invented the Electric Guitar, going on to designing the range of electronic guitars for Gibson Guitars.Todays recording techniques would not be possible without the expertise and the ingenuity of the amazing Les Paul. Here, you can listen to Les and his wife sing How High The Moon, recorded in 1951, but sounding as though it is a present day recording!! If you watch carefully, you will see the banks of reel to reel tape recorders that Les used for his multitracking techniques
