Less than 2 months until my Bears N Friends 20th anniversary and Steiff weekend. The special Celebration bears are here, the 100 1909 bear with a squeaker is here, working on the outfits. Found boy and girl sailor outfits so Im doing half boy half girl. The actual gift bags for those going on the cruise arrive, the are AWESOME. These will ONLY be given to those on the cruise. Most of the contrnts for the cruise goody bags are here, lots of great items. Steiff was kind enough to sent an additional 50 bags for Saturday so Ill have 150 goody bags Saturdays Steiff event. Different items on Saturday, if you are going in the cruise and coming Saturday youll get both bags. Even though its 2 months away Im stressing out, I want it to be perfect so everyone has a good time. Letters will be going out to those registered fior the cruise with a map to where were loading and a schedule of events, space is still available for the dinner cruise. Post cards will go out about 3 weeks before reminding others of our big celebration. Hope to see you on the cruise Oct. 17th or at the Steiff event Saturday, Oct. 18th. 11-4.. The silent auction on the number #1 1928 reproduction Charles bear will be around 2:00-2:15. ALL proceeds will go to Charity in memory of Cathy Steffes ,who owned Bearly A Memory with her husband Chuck Steffes. Chuck was kind enough to donate this very special bear. I will also have a container if you want to make a donation and a basket for anyone that wants to leave a card for Chuck. Chuck is a great resource and can answer your questions and will be conducting the auction, sealed bids will be accepted.
