Less than 24 hours since I performed my poem at the right2water protest in Letterkenny the piece collectively has 12,000 views and rising. This is fantastic. I am delighted that it is seemingly having the desired effect of promoting the right2water cause and hopefully encouraging more people to join the protest on the 10th in Dublin. But with that aim in mind, let’s take it further. If you Will I would ask you all to please share the video in every way and on every platform you can for it is my sincere desire that this poem may be a tool in lighting a fire that will ensure that on December 10th: Ireland will rise and our voices will be as thunder shaking the dail A million will march and our footsteps will echo and send them all Scurrying like rats to the liffey to hide And flushed out to sea on the rising tide. So please, if you Will, help me spread this message far and wide: If you have media contacts (journalists, editors etc.) please send them the link and urge them to share. If you’re on twitter, please tweet the video to people with many followers you think would be interested and may retweet and get #IrelandWillRise trending. Share the video on message boards and in the comment sections of news articles. I’m a bit of a social media luddite when it comes to the world beyond Facebook so I’m sure there are lots more platforms for sharing I’ve missed.
