Lesser Light? What or who is the lesser light? The Bible is full of symbolism! It is a book of symbolism. The sun represents God and the moon represents Satan. God shines His light of life on all things. The sun rules the day and the moon rules the night (darkness). (Gen. 1:16). Who is it that uses darkness for a cloak? Satan of course. (Jn. 3:19-21) Let us take this out of the denominational light and get the true perspective of the situation! There is but one God and we are His children. This makes us heir to the throne that shall never be vacated by God our Father! We are therefore princes of the kingdom. We have been granted the titles of Kings and Lords. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. (Rev. 17:14, 19:16, 20:3-6). He rules over us directly. We therefore co-rule with him. Therefore, we are not the lesser lights since Jesus IS the light of the world. We are the only lights in all the darkness along with Jesus our master guide.
