Lesser accidents in festive season The accidents on Namibian roads since 22 November until 21 December have decreased drastically compared to the same period last year. A total of 338 accidents have been reported this year compared to the 393 accidents of last year, while the injuries decreased from 670 to 619 and the fatalities also decreased from 49 to 29. The Khomas Region reported the most accidents and shortly before last weekend (19 December) a cooler truck with meat overturned. Nobody was injured in the accident.
