Lesson for today Do you want to see God? Now be honest, if you could, wouldn’t you want to see God? I know I would. Moses wanted to see God, but this is what God told him: Exodus 33:20 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Now that’s amazing! Moses could see his back while he passed by, and that was it. So what does God look like? What did Jesus look like? I hate to bust your bubble this morning, but if you think Jesus really looked like the picture we have today, you are very wrong. I believe there is a very good reason why God did not leave a detailed description of Jesus. I believe it was so we would not turn a picture into an idol and worship it, just simply have faith that He was here and did what the word of God said that He did, that’s it. But, it seams to me we have attempted anyway, to turn a picture of Him and the cross, into idols anyway, think about that for a minute. Anyway, according to this scripture: Romans 1:20 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. All people are without excuse to know that there is a real and living God, a God of creation, just by walking outside and looking at His creation! You and I and everyone else has seen God in a since, every day! We don’t think about it, and if we do, we take it for granted. Have you ever stood at the foot of majestic mountains, or, stood on top of one looking out and your breath be taken away? Tears come to your eyes, you can’t explain it, you’re just awestruck! Why is that? You’ve just seen God and didn’t realize it! Take care and God bless, Ken Page
