Lesson of today, SLOWDOWN!!! Here are two stories Im going to share. While taking my grandmother to the bank at Publix today I was cut off by a woman who ran a stop sign in order to beat us to the closer parking spot. Im sure she thought little of it until I approached her at the same bank we went into. I pointed to my Nana sitting in the corner and said Do you see that little small old lady over there? She had to walk twice as far as you did through the parking lot because you were in a hurry and decided to run a stop sign and cut us off. She apologized and said she didnt see the stop sign and I told her it was probably because of the fact she was speeding so fast to get what she needed and to maybe think of others next time even if they are just in a vehicle. Now just this evening I was at fast food place. There was a guy in front of me yelling that he had to wait 10 minutes for his order and that he was going to call corporate. He kept yelling, belittling the employee, And going on and on. The employee tried to tell him that they were short staffed tonight and kept apologizing but the customer wouldnt have it. He was just going to leave and take his business elsewhere. When it came time for my turn I knew I didnt want to be like the customer or the lady in the car. I told him to take his time and take care of the drive through if he needed to as well. I wasnt in a rush. I told him that hes doing a great job with handling jerks and that they dont pay him enough to deal with A-holes like that last guy. I told him that anyone that cant spare a few minutes for a fellow human being has a serious problem, But its not yours. Anyway, Long story short, everybody in line suddenly agreed with me, the mood seemed to chance when they thought about the people working, and I got a free cookie from the cashier! :-) This story is brought to you by one of the most rushed people you know. LOL. Im always up to something, but you dont necessarily have to rush everything youre up to. Thank you for taking the time to listen. =) Enjoy, not just the moments, but the little ones in-between.
