Lessons Learned from Grandmom #2 Quiet doesnt mean weak! Sometimes we think that because we dont say something or we are not louder than the next person we will be perceived as being weak. Though this may be the perception it isnt always accurate. See strength and loudness are not synonymous. My grandmother was a very quiet woman. She didnt say much and when she did she spoke softly. It wasnt until recently I realized how much strength it had to take for her to just shut up sometimes. She had to allow others to voice not only their opinions but sometimes hers as well. She obviously wasnt looking to win the argument with the last word nor did she care if you took credit for her thoughts. She quietly won battles while others were trying to win arguments. If you dont believe that it takes strength to be quiet try for once NOT to say whats on your mind! #lessonlearned
