Lessons available on Melody now! Regular riding helps our rescue horses to learn and gives you a chance to learn while helping our horses! Melody is a very responsive mare who is lots of fun for an intermediate to experienced rider. She is very light (ie responds to subtle cues) so not good for someone who has never ridden to learn on. But no buck, rear, or running away - just needs someone with some riding experience as a rider who is inexperienced and kicks her to go will end up cantering. Melody is 14 hands, Arabian, and estimated to be 9 years old. She knows walk/trot/canter and has been jumped over cross rails. She rides bareback or with a saddle and with or without a bit. She is also eligible for adoption for $1000 and eligible for first month free board at the farm where she is currently staying if she is adopted. Lessons on Melody last a minimum of one hour and are $40/lesson (lesson fees pay our trainer and help with Melodys care). Lessons will include natural horsemanship groundwork and safety as well as riding. Emphasis is on forming a bond with your horse and learning how horses learn so you can get your horse to work with you. There are more photos and videos of Melody on our Facebook page.
