Lessons learned this morning: 1) Cole can literally sleep through anything 2) the sound of your tree and all of the glass ornaments hitting the hardwood floors sounds like a car hitting the house. I can see the merits of carpeting. 3) shatter proof ornaments are probably the best thing ever invented next to indoor plumbing and Reeses Peanut Butter trees. 4) the dog didnt like the tree, she has sulked since we put it up. Im not saying this is her fault, but she seems noticeably happier since the incident. 5) Im more sentimental than I thought. 6) tethering a 10 foot tree, with a hundred pounds of expensive ornaments and 1100 twinkling lights is really good idea (thanks Megan!) Headed to Home Depot to get the stuff and sand bags, which should look lovely under the tree. 7) Very glad no one was under the tree or wed be visiting the emergency room this morning. 8) stuff can be replaced. Its still going to be the hap hap happiest Christmas this side of the Mississippi. I appreciate the kind words...you guys all mean a lot to me. :-)
