Lest John Meyer think hes alone in piloting the struggle bus this week Ill share this little gem of a night with yall... So- I decide to make spaghetti for dinner tonight. Pretty simple, Ive been doing it probably since I could reach the stove. Being the nice guy that he is, Loren asks several times if theres anything he can help with. Nope, got this all under control. Start to drain the noodles and somehow dont notice that Im pouring boiling water across my stomach and down the front of my pants. So now Im holding my shirt away from my skin with one hand while trying to get a stick of butter out of the fridge with the other when I knock a container of BBQ sauce out of the fridge causing it to explode all over the kitchen. Snatch the mushrooms off the burner just before they start to burn and beg Lo to come save me from this hurricane that dinner has turned into. He pops out, avoids the BBQ fallout and snatches the garlic bread out of the oven just as it starts to burn. And even managed to keep a straight face while pointing out that Id somehow managed to get a couple pieces of bread on the pan cheese side down. Youre all welcome- you can quit laughing now. :-)
