Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. Mark 13:26 This verse reminds me of several things. First of all, how Jesus came back from praying and His disciples were all sleeping. Another part of scripture, i know, but a similar situation, none the less. It was right before Christ betrayal, and He was praying for strength to do what needed to be done, and His disciples couldnt even stay up one hour. Second of all, it reminds me of when Gideon and his three hundred men attacked the hoard of Midianites while they were sleeping, or at least i assume they were sleeping. It was at night, and because of the power of God, and the fact that they were caught off guard, they were slaughtered, despite their superior numbers. Third, but certainly not least, it really reminds me of this Casting Crowns song. Have a good Thursday, my friends. Cause i know Im going to. :-) and heres that song...
