Let Hazard go Jose! Even if this evenings match-up versus Manchester City away at the Etihad Stadium were to be played in the 19th century, the sentiment amongst a segment of pundits and enthusiasts is that Manuel Pellegrinis fantastic team would still attack and attack, especially at home as they havent failed to score at least 1 goal on their turf in 61 league matches. So, if youre in the camp that believe Mourinho was being hypocritical when he lashed out at Sam Allardyce for masterminding a 19th century football retro in that barren draw with West Ham in midweek, be rest assured youre in the majority as I cant see anything but a typically disciplined Mourinho side tonight - cautiously setup to stay defensively compact, press high up the pitch whilst priming to hit on the break. Thus, whilst it is apparent the Special One wont necessarily start the game without a striker like in the 0-0 bore- fest at Old Trafford earlier in the season or the cagey goalless affair at the Emirates recently, it is safe to say Mourinho who has only lost once to his Chilean opposite number in about six meetings will not be doing anything drastic or too different to what has worked for him so far this term; dont expect to see anything gung-ho...all-guns-blazing and stuff, folks. But can I suggest that Mourinho can do what he knows is best for the game tonight after all hes the gaffer, in light of our ambitions this season - heck, he can choose to defend in numbers like Big Sam all he wants without a friggin care in the world about soundbites of hypocrisy - but that he should please set Eden Hazard free to go on and attack this noisy, sorry lucky lot, get behind Zabaleta and in his face as much as possible and wreck havoc as hazardously as we all know he can? In other words, that everyone can defend but not Hazard? I dont have to say I expect the game to be won and lost on the wings, the wide areas - since its almost certain both sides will be taking care of the central midfield business - as it is expected the likes of David Silva(aka Merlin by City fans) and Jesus Navas will be taking the battle to the byline, to get some chalk on their boots as they say, while the likes of Yaya and Fernandinho deal with the might of the AutoMatic One and Ramires or Super Frankie. Thus, it is imperative Jose lets Hazard go and get some chalk on too, stretch and annoy Zabaleta and/or their left back (Kolarov or Clichy) all the time, and possibly win us the game!
