Let Him Heal You “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…” Luke 4:18 (KJV) One day I went to God with my hurt emotions. I had learned by now that He knows me very well and that I can’t hide from Him for too long. So I took my pain to my Father. I poured out my heart and told Him the hurt I was feeling. He didn’t scold me. He didn’t turn away from me. He simply loved me and His amazing love flowed into the cracks and crevices of my heart and healed it. The wounds in our heart will never completely heal until we take it to the Lord. You can’t live the full and free life God desires for you while holding on to hurt and unforgiveness. Let Him heal you. Let Him help you forgive. So you can get on with your life and do what He’s predestined for you to do. Prayer: Father, You know me all too well. I can’t hide from You. The truth of what I am really dealing with is so clear to You. Heal me Lord. Every wound. Help me forgive and grow from this. In Jesus name, Amen.
