The Song of Solomon, Chap 1, vs 2-4 So much in 3 short verses. This is a Love song between Christ and HIs bride, the church. His Love is better than wine: Wine is a manmade product, produced to bring pleasure. God is He whose ways and purposes will always bring more pleasure than the world and its ways. The virgins are those who keep themselves chaste for God. We are not perfect in ourselves, but with our eyes always on Jesus, we are His chaste virgins. And in union with God, we smell His smell, the smell of the born-again, Christian life, and are forever drawn deeper. Anyone who has seriously committed themselves to Christ can attest to the truth of this. I need You, Lord, to draw me. I am aware that outside of Your drawing me, I could never desire or run after You. But It was and remains Your good pleasure to draw me...Thank You! Draw me deeper...deeper still - I will run after thee. The King brings me not just into His Chamber (singular), but into His Chambers (Plural)!! The farther we press in, the more rooms we find in Christ - no one can measure the depths of HIs love and being. There are so many chambers. How far do you really want to go?
