Let Them Gloat But Get Yourself Together! Wednesday, December - TopicsExpress

Let Them Gloat But Get Yourself Together! Wednesday, December 31st, 2008 It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever met someone who loved to point out all the wonderful things they have done? Whether you asked them or not, they took the time to give you a run down of all the “things” they have done in life. The more they talked, the more you heard the word “I.” Never did they give God acknowledgment for all He has done in their lives. Never did they give God the glory or credit for His new mercies each and every day (Lamentations 3:22-23). Have you ever worked alongside someone who loved to have their name placed on every project? Have you ever dated someone who did not want you to do anything except idolize them? Have you ever thought you were meeting your dream guy or girl but realized they were the guy or girl of your nightmares? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please continue. If you cannot relate sorry for wasting your time. Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. Why do you allow people to control your behavior? Why do you allow bitterness to get in your spirit? Why do you allow the opinions of man to bombard your thoughts? Why are you still trying to date that person when you know it is not God’s will? Why are you still investing in things you know will not bring glory to the Lord? Why are you still trying to make people stay who you know mean you no good? Why are you still praying for “such and such” to come back when you know they brought hell into your life? Why, why, why? How do you plan to minister to the masses when you are bound by secret sins? How do you plan to encourage others when you are lying to yourself? My friend, while people are promoting agendas and elevating themselves, Let Them Gloat But Get Yourself Together! If you learn to focus on you, you will realize God can and will take care of everyone else’s behavior. The Bible declares in 1 Thessalonians 4:11 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; Scripture Reading for Today: Luke 2:49 May God Bless you at Your point of need!
