Let all VIPs please follow the example of Mr Rahul Gandhi here. Please stand in queues. The big mistake is we call them VIPs. This has put them into the mistaken assumption that they are very important , they are royalty and we should pamper to every luxury and whim they desire -- they demand. Lets drill this into the heads of all VIPs : In a democracy, politicos are elected to serve the people. We are not there to serve them. If you cannot serve -- plain and simple -- dont be in politics. And when you are in politics, stand in queues for everything. Bus queue, train queue, ration queue, kerosene queue -- only then will you realize what people in general have to go through on a daily basis. And only then will you be able to serve people the way they deserve to be served in a democracy. And take it from me, you will be the most popular leader in India.
