Let me bless you with this morning. Ive heard many people, both ministers and Christians alike ask the question: how come certain spiritual experiences have not happened to me. They want to know why they have not have certain charismatic experiences and they even wonder if it makes them less Christian or less anointed. They wonder if it makes them unprepared for the world or unprepared for true ministry. They see a lack of spiritual gifts or a lack of certain gifts as an insecurity. Let me tell you something, tongues, prophesy and etc are gifts but the holy spirit is THE gift. If you never get to experience that particular dimensions of Christ, as long as you have the spirit of the living God, you are one of the most powerful individuals on the planet. Gifts are not to divide the people, but to unite the people. Know that those who attend churches where gifts are accepted and used are those places where more people will have those experiences. If you attend a church that doesnt believe in those gifts, thinks those gifts were only for the apostolic age, or believe they are too dignified for God to operate in those ways, gifts are less likely to manifest. That doesnt mean they cant though. Many times its not that the gifts arent available but that they are suppressed. Either way, the gift of God is the best gift that a man or woman could ever have.
