Let me explain the eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth - TopicsExpress

Let me explain the eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth Scripture in the Old Testament. First, the Scriptures says that law is dead and replaced with the New Testament Law of Christ. Next let me tell you that the Old Law is a Law of sin and death. Rom_8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Here is how that law works. Remember, it is sin and death. So you sin against me and in retaliation I sin against you. Now that is still working very well in the world and is producing very evil results. You sin against me and I kill you; sin and death. But because I sowed sin/evil toward you I will simply reap more evil into my life, and on and on it goes; evil continues and no one takes it to heart that all the evil is simply because the Sowing and Reaping Law is working as it is supposed to. Jesus said, Mat 5:38-39 You have heard that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: but I say unto you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. In other words, since life is based upon the Sowing & Reaping law of God, the only way we can break the evil cycle/chain is by sowing good, even is someone does evil against us. For we sow good then good will be returned back to us, and on and on it goes, reaps good for good sown. Life is a matter of choices. Choose whether you want evil to come into your life by choosing the cursed eye for an eye way of sin and death, or, the blessed good for good principle. Your life to choose good or possibly lose your life by choosing evil for evil.
