Let me first say, if you want to work from home, or be self-employed, or in business for yourself, and youre not willing to spend $99 to launch, youre just kidding yourself. You dont really want a business - you want a job. I hear all the time - Why do I have to pay to join? My response is usually, Well, you dont. You can go back to playing the lottery. Oh wait, that costs money too. You could apply to McDonalds. Thats free. Although, if you get the job, youll need to buy some non-slip black shoes. $45 - $80. Chilis is hiring servers. Youll need those same shoes. Plus, if you dont already own five or six pairs of black pants, youll need to pony up for those as well. Want to be an insurance or real estate agent? Depending on your state, plan on spending $500 - $2000 for pre-licensing and exam fees. Dont forget appointments and continuing education (another $500 - $1000 annually.) Are you starting to get the picture? Nothing is free. If you truly want to be in business think about the return instead of the investment.
