Let me give a shout out to another new San Leandro business: Cabana Nails & Waxing downtown. I took my daughters and two friends there yesterday for birthday manicures and they had a GREAT service, at an affordable price, in beautiful surroundings. Cabana has been decorated in a nautical scene, and has beautiful blue walls and white chairs, plus other stylish furniture and lots of sea decorations (including real starfish & abalone shells). They use Essie & OPI polishes I would not have thought that there would be a need for another nails place in San Leandro. We seem to be saturated with them. But I looked at reviews on Yelp and almost none seemed to offer good, sanitary service in pretty surroundings. Cabana has also been getting raves in Nextdoor and Yelp, so I dont think our experience was unusual. The $12 simple manicure consisted of a soak in rose/lemon water, followed by pushing back cuticles and clipping extra skin, followed by a lotion rub and then a warm towel rub (which the girls loved). Then they had the nails prepared and painted. They gave them designs and didnt charge me for them either, but theyre normally $5. They were beautiful, even did a bone for my daughter - a huge fan of the show Bones.
