Let me hop on my soapbox for a moment .. Please feel free to comment and just because this is my opinion surely doesnt mean its the case for everyone and I value all of your opinions whether they parallel mine or not ... Suicide has affected my life greatly . Its leaves a permanent scar on you that no amount of time or healing can erase . I do not speak about it often , but for those of you who may not know .. My mother committed suicide when I was younger . You would not believe the things a child will be told while dealing with losing a parent to suicide . I was actually told once in jr high by a family member ( not going to mention any names since I have forgiven this person within my own heart ) that they would kill me so I could go to hell where my mother could take care of me . Harsh right ! Anyways not to dwell on my own issues right now as I have another id like opinions on . I seen a young mans goodbye video of sorts on facebook earlier . His mother had posted it . It was his tear filled goodbyes to his family and friends just before taking his own life this past July . I know believe me I know grief is a very strange emotion and can manifest in many many different ways . So by any means this is not me passing judgment on this mother . I just dont think my moms suicide letter would ever make social media . With that being said . In the comments of the video the mom keeps calling out her sons ex who was the last person he talked to before he passed wanting to know what this girl said to her son that would make him take his own life . In the video the boy stated that he loved his ex and would always love her . I just dont see where calling this young lady out on social media will bring forth any positive in this situation . Am I wrong for thinking this way ?? I just feel that even though this mother is in sorts placing the blame on this young lady very publicly ( without having any proof that the girl was even mean to him during their conversation ) could cause the young lady to take her own life . Like I feel so so bad for this mother . I couldnt even imagine . I lost my mom to suicide and that was a nightmare couldnt imagine losing one of my children to it , but in the same token Im scared for this young girl . I feel a deep sense of loneliness and guilt that she must be feeling because of this mothers accusations .
