Let me just say: I very much admire SAHMs. I envy SAHMs more than I can ever say. I think SAHMs are doing the most important job in the world. But Ive read so many things lately about how difficult it is to live that lifestyle; how unappreciative spouses can be; how no one understands just how many hats you have to wear; how tired you are... SAHMs, please realize that reading those words hurt. Because I am a mommy who would give absolutely anything in the world to do what you do on the daily. Ive missed so many firsts. Ive been through days of not being able to see my children...at all. Ive cried in my car knowing that I had to leave my girls elsewhere when they really just want their Mommy. I havent been able to kiss every boo-boo. Ive trusted the raising of my sweet angels to someone who is not me. And to hear (well, read) that someone is getting to experience the things that I miss--the little things and the big things, day in and day out, the everyday--and taking it for granted...that hurts. Count. Your. Blessings. Every day.
