Let me just say that I hate Wamart. I shop there if I need something in the middle of the night or too lazy to go somewhere else. That said, people clamoring for people to boycott Walmart because they pay low wages, let me throw some real business world truths out there. People shop there because it is cheap. They have one of the largest aggregated purchase volumes in the world thus giving them massive negotiating power to give you those cheap prices. They can also give you cheap prices because they hire a lot of unskilled labor that nobody else will hire thus a low wage. Walmart employs 2.2 million employees, the vast majority of whom are unskilled and difficult to employ in an already right job market. So yeah lets tell all of our Walmart shopping friends to boycott the Walton family enterprise, pay higher prices and put 2.2 million unskilled, hard to employ people out of work. Better yet, if you work at Walmart and want a better job why not take advantage of the scholarship and tuition reimbursement program that they offer their employees, that one that averages 75% unused funds per year, and get an education and a better job. Oh and let me repeat, I hate Walmart and couldnt care less about their survival. But value conscious neighbors and 2.2 million employees probably wish that people keep hearingwelcome to Walmart!
