Let me make it clear. Its not the people of Florida that are the threat, its the laws that deny men of color the rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. There are innocent small business owners in Florida that will be devastated by the boycots. These are the people that should address these laws and the failure to educate its citizens protectors on when its appropriate to approach a situation with the possibility of using lethal force. A man of color has the right to be addressed with respect instead of assaulted or killed due to his race, age, religion, nationality, physical appearance or socio-economic status. Theres a statue symbolic of what justice should be. Its a figure that holds aloft a scale of justice. This figure is blindfolded to indicate that justice is blind to discriminatory practices. Lets stop judging our neighbors on the issues that lady justice turns her sight from. Lets punish those that do deal injury or death to the innocents they are sworn to protect. Lets address the demons that live within our spirits under the guise of neighbor, friend, protector or patriotic citizen.
