Let me make sure that I understand you correctly, Barbie at CD - TopicsExpress

Let me make sure that I understand you correctly, Barbie at CD Baby. You are trying to tell me that since the Rolling Stones have a song called Some Girls I am infringing on their copyright by having a song titled Some Girls? I want to make sure that I understand you 100% correctly. Are you saying that the Rolling Stones have a franchise on the words some and girls? Well, Barbie at CD Baby, I am taking a quick look at the ASCAP songwriter database and there are quite a few titles by songwriters titled Some Girls. The Rolling Stones are just one. Theres a kid named Ziggy Marley. Theres a little known woman named Madonna. Oh, and this little group from the 80s called Bananarama. Theres some Black dudes named Marcus Miller and Luther Vandross with a song they wrote called Some Girls as well. A quick browse shows over 30 song titles in the ASCAP database alone. Thats not counting BMI or SESAC. Thats just ASCAP. I am going to go with my original suspicion which is that you are not a musician or songwriter in any capacity. I dont believe you to be a creator of any type of art so we are going to end this conversation. I will save myself some time and frustration dealing with you. Take care, Barbie. I hope you and your parents have a great lawyer, as you should be expecting a letter from Mattel, Inc. any day now. Yes, your name is an infringement on a very well known copyright. Good day, maam.
