Let me paraphrase Ambler Moss comment on this: Bachmann has a point, after all, during slavery, unemployment among African-Americans and African immigrants was certainly a lot lower than it is now. Virtually microscopic in fact. (end of paraphrase) In Bachmanns case, her track record suggests she says this out of cluelessness, as do many of her GOP colleagues. But let us not ignore how many Republicans and all too many Democrats also pursue policies that are aimed at reducing wages among working class and middle class people. So many of the gains of the Labor Movement have been rolled back, while owners have gotten richer to the point of obscenity. It won;t stop unless we stop it, folks.
