Let me preface by saying that I am absolutely and unequivocally - TopicsExpress

Let me preface by saying that I am absolutely and unequivocally against capital punishment ( except for high treason and collaborating with an enemy), and I am obviously against executing someone after leaving them to rot in jails for year. That said, Jordan is not the only country that does that: in the US most executions are carried after years of legal wrangling, and until recently using extremely inhumane and painful methods: the electric chair and the gas chamber. As for Japan, executions are carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays and without any prior notice to the convicts and their families. So the condemned are left in fear on those nights and tremble at the noise of doors opening. And lets not forget Israels frequent extra-judicial murders. Finally, the British and the German ambassadors had no right to criticise Jordans actions any more than Jordans ambassador would have the right to criticise British judges for often putting criminals back on the streets after a mere slap on the hand.
