Let me preface this story by saying that student is my class clown. Me: *whisper* Im going to need you to put your shoes back on. Student: *loud voice* Why? My feet dont smell. *Whole class starts to listen and giggle, student remains unperturbed.* Me: I can assure you, they do. Student: Naw, theyre fine. Me: I literally have a sore throat. And am getting a headache. I cant focus enough to teach over the stench of your feet. Student: *Raises foot to face and takes a whiff.* I guess they kind of smell. Me: Shoes on. *Kid continues on with his business, shoeless.* Me: Get out. Student: What? Me: I cant handle your feet. I need you to leave. It was for the learning environment, really.
